I have just rung the 4444 number to check my balance and I got a message that said "the number you have dialled is no longer in service"  The same with 4445.  Is it just me or have O2 changed the way that people top up ?

Problem Solved.  I was using a dual SIM phone with an EE SIM as the backup.   Somehow it intercepted my 4444 call to O2 .   I have disabled the EE SIM and now it works perfectly when I dial 4444.  Thanks for looking !

@Maxjonz

We've not been made aware of any changes.

Are you still PAYG or have you changed to a rolling plan?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Yes I am still PAYG.  Never had a problem with 4444 before.    I have another spare phone on PAYG that I keep in my car - I will try that out tomorrow and see if the same message is given.

Yup, that would do it - EE's top-up number is 150, hence why your attempt to call 4444 was failing - good detective work, thanks for updating here on the Forum, @Maxjonz!
