£10 extra credit when you top up £10

I purchased a PAYG sim card from ebay and the seller told me, "if I top up £10, I'll get an extra £10 credit automatically added within 30 days."

It arrived (it says THE CLASSIC, 3p|2p|1p and up to10% back on your top-ups).

I've topped up £10

I've not yet (in 1-day) had an extra £10 credit added.

How do I know if the sellers claim is true or not?

Hi @Dr_Bones

I have no idea whether the sellers claim is true or not. However, that's not how Classic PAYG usually works

£10 is the minimum top up. Once you use that credit you need to top up again

All info on Classic PAYG is here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/pay-as-you-go/classic-pay-as-you-go

*However, I have just discovered they did a promotional offer here https://www.o2.co.uk/termsandconditions/rewards/o2-pay-and-go-10-pound-extra-credit-offer-terms-and-...

Whether that promotion is still valid I have no idea. It's worth a try to check it out

New Pay As You Go Customers ordering a SIM via
o2.co.uk/freesim or SMS during the Promotional Period will
receive a promotional Pay As You Go SIM (the "SIM").
The promotion is to claim £10 extra credit. Customers must
activate the SIM by topping up with a minimum of £10 and text
the code 'FREE10' to 21500 within 28 days of ordering the SIM.
Texts must be sent from the SIM and the original mobile number
identified on the SIM pack.

Out of interest, how much did the free sim cost you?

A bit scary that you 'bought' it.....Good God is there no shame to these flea-bay sellers?
