Hi @Kevag it would have been helpful to have kept hold of the text in this instance, but the help you need is here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Have-you-fallen-for-or-been-conned-into-a-premium-rate-s...

If you call customer services they may refund you as a one off too.

There are so many of these scams, multiple traps from the same company. I wonder just how many originate to each company because its obviously big money to these predators and to the networks. Shameful!

Hi @Kevag

You also need to contact customer services https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus and ask for these two bars to be placed on your account.

It will stop this sort of thing happening in future

  • Bar all Direct to Bill Debits
  • Premium Bar (calls to premium numbers, 090, 070 etc.)

I think it’s about time phone plus and networks come up with a better system.

to me all bill to phone and premium charges should be defaulted to block, most customers don’t know they can switch them off.

there should be more controls of these scam companies too, little or nothing is done to me.

Yes I’ve heard @MI5

On my EE sim I do get a lot less text I have to be honest,

but ive had all the bars in place too, as same with voda.  They give lots of different controls too.  Much more than any network.

Would be be great if o2 allowed us on our accounts to have control
