"Get an extra £100 when you buy the Google Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro" is what it says in my order confirmation email. After searching for a way to claim it I found O2 are offering a trade in deal for old devices. It says nothing about a trade in in the conformation email, this order was made over the phone and there was no mention of a trade in.
I'm assuming this was a typo/mistake, or is there a way to claim £100 without trading in any device?
Thanks

There was a free headphones worth ça £249 or so offer late last year, but the £100 offer you refer to is indeed for a "qualifying" trade-in, @Pixeluser123:

My order email says that too, the salesperson said I have to claim it from Google, no idea how

At no point was this made clear, just that I could do it through the google site if I bought the phone. However my expectations of salespeople are very low so I rarely believe what they say

The only one I found in the Pixel/Google site is for a £99 set of earbuds, as above.
All other offers from O2 website for the Pixel 6 models depend on trade-in of old phone (and they explicitly call out iPhone for the highest value trade in).
I do expect the sales people to know these deals, but equally would dig around and do my own homework after, before buying.
