Maybe somebody has advice on this?

I have a Huawei E5573 hotspot with a pay-as-you-go SIM from O2. The hotspot also comes from O2.

What I'd like to do is to use this internet provision as permanent home internet. But the trouble is that I am running an AirPlay speaker and a smart thermostat and I need two ethernet sockets for these.

If I purchased a different pocket hotspot online (with ethernet ports) and put the old sim in it, would it work?

Alternatively, could I purchase one of these WiFi range extenders:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00NIUHAG6?ref_=pe_780071_41837251_dpLink

and it would work?

Any comments welcome.

I'm a light surfer so this would seem an economical arrangement for me.

@GM

Yes, use you data SIM in any mobile broadband device.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
