It appears its a new policy now that you need an appointment to see Paul the phone guru at Kendal???? tried twice today whilst shopping to talk to him about new phones, had questions about them i needed answering before i upgraded, was told something about appointment!! what a rubbish idea, never needed appointment before but it looks like if this is the case i'll just have to go to another phone supplier who i can talk to, shame really as I've been with O2 ever since mobile phones started. Dave.

@dave222 Even though your recent experience wasn't very good, check what your coverage will be with a different provider before you switch. If you've always been with O2 you've obviously been happy with the coverage, but that may not be the case if you switch. Try some Pay & Go sims from the others before you make your decision. Coverage should always be the prime consideration.

Coverage here is not that good anyway, checked others and some are a lot better so it looks like bye bye to O2 after many many years, it was just the attitude i think that pi---d me off in the shop twice. Dave.

Of course the choice is always yours, but if your coverage has never been that good, why have you waited as long as this?

Although it's been said that an appointment is always required and is safer to make one...I can tell you from personal experience it is store dependent and whether the 'guru' is free. I saw this in my local store this week when someone came in and asked if the guru was free.....no appointment. He was available, the shop was relatively empty and the customer was seen.....

@Cleoriff But the gurus are not sales people as per the op post (not there for general sales related issues) I guess all sales staff are flat out at present !!!

Yes but actually the OP was talking about O2 gurus @adamtemp64 as was I...

(which probably means our store didn't have much interest shown in the latest released phone ...Bouncy
