o2 webmail - emails being sent to me are bouncing back

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

In the last 3 days a number of people are telling me that when they email me the email bounces back. If I send a test email it goes through. A lot of emails sent to me go through but for some reason some people are not going through. The mailbox is not full and there seems no reason for this. They are using the correct address

Unfortunately it seems there is no support for webmail which I have from when I had o2 broadband so I just wondered if anyone else had this problem and any idea what causes it and how to fix it

Thanks

Marcus

Your full address was visiable and has been moderated.

It had after the @02.co.uk not @o2.co.uk with your malcome etc in front.

Just ask these people to check they have it as o2 not 02.

Also check your email settings show as reply to is @o2.co.uk

I would move to a reliable email service like Gmail and inform your contacts, sadly O2 provide email free on an as is basis, so support is not that good.

What is the exact message your friends are getting in the bounceback email?

However as Perksie has said, you would be better off moving to another reliable email provider like Outlook/Hotmail or Gmail.

More info

HI I appreciate that chaning emails is an option but I would prefer to not do that if I can. I have used this email for many years and am known by it.

I will look to get a copy of the bounce back message and see what it says

Thanks for your interest

Using the correct address has got to help, it's an easy mistake to make! slight_smile

I'm surprised it worked at all with that not right.

Hi Brendon

I cannot see where there is a reference to my email ( although I am not overlyl worried about that)

More importantly I can see that the return email is to host.02 which is where I assume you are saying it says zero. How can I change that when it seems to be coming up for people who reply to me

Thanks for your help though in any event
