This might be a strange, or silly, question. I currently have a SIM only contract that is due to expire with O2. I am not interested in O2 refresh as i plan to keep my phone for the length of the new contract. So i am looking elsewhere for O2 contracts. i have found one through Uswitch. Am i able to move my number from my current SIM only plan to this new contract bought through a 3rd party? I personally don't see why notbut i could be wrong.

Yes, you can.
You will just need to call cs on 202 to cancel your current simo and transfer your number to new contract.
But, you will have a one month overlap as you have to give 30 days notice (basically you can transfer number immediately but you will be billed a further month on old simo contract).
To avoid this, call cs and give notice now.
