Upgrade pending and was thinking about getting an ipad.  Several friends say these are better than phones, as cannot see small icons very well due to stroke. Would appreciate 'any' help plz. All new to me.

Unless you use Tugo over WiFi you won't be able to make calls and receive texts on an iPad - It depends what you want the device for....?

Or if you speak to other iOS users FaceTime and iMessage come into play.
