Hi,

 

Was trying to setup a hotspot using my Iphone 7, but there wasn't an option under the settings. I've read other threads to suggest your not able to do it with a pay and go sim but these were a few years ago, and the fact is that I was able to do it with a HTC Windows 8X phone no problems on pay and go quite happily for the last 2 years. Is it just on Iphones?

 

I find it odd that there is no were I can find that talks about personal tethering or Hotspots when looking at contract and pay & go sims, or anywhere else on O2 website.

A couple of days ago I looked at the settings of my iPhone 5 with an O2 PAYG sim in it, and the Personal Hotspot option had appeared, it wasn't there before. I think I may have had a carrier update recently, I don't remember. I tried it and it works.  Has O2 had a change of policy regarding tethering on PAYG?
