Hi, We are going to Malaysia in August and want to use my iPhone to make local and international calls. How does a eSIM card work I do not want to use the local SIM cards because I had a previous bad experience using their cards.  Thanks, Frank

Having an eSIM on O2 will not change anything other than freeing up your present SIM slot.

Perhaps you are confusing things with the international eSIMs which are available from other suppliers

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Pazzie As per the advice from @Cleoriff, the only way to avoid exorbitant call and text charges is to get a local sim or use WhatsApp over a Wi-Fi connection which will enable you to keep in touch with other WhatsApp users for free. You can use Facebook Messenger free as well, but it's not as convenient.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
