I have received an O2 text that I'd sent a premium SMS that wasn't included in my tariff. It was a charity donation to Foodcycle UK, made after an appeal by The Old Vic.

 

Surely charity donation texts should not be treated as premium? It's bound to discourage people from donating.

Some donation lines are free whilst others charge and take a percentage of the cost.

It's down to the charity, not the network.

All donations may by text short codes, are classed as premium texts.

And all the text is saying is that the cost of the donation isnt included in your allowance.
