change phone number

If this is the wrong board I apologise.

I'm in the process of buying a new phone and handing the old one on to my wife. The current phone has one of the old Essential sims in it which came via TalkTalk.

I want to keep the same number that I have now with a new pay monthly O2 sim, and get a new number for the old O2 sim so that it can continue to be used.

Is this possible?I know it's a bit complicated but I need all the help I can get at my age!

Unfortunately you can only do one or the other, but not both.
