Wireless charging stand

Anonymous
Not applicable

Apple says my new little Apple will do 18w charging.. i'm struggling to find anything out there with 18w capability (10 at most) am i just looking in the wrong place or has no one bothered to get past 10w.

I'm after a stand so i can see it on my desk, those pads are useless imo.

I can see an 18w plug on the apple site, which is great.. but again.. that's not a stand....

so.. the question...

How do i go about getting an 18w plug wired up to a stand.. when all these stands only go up to 10w?

I'll mention @MI5 here. As it's in off topic, he may have missed it.

PS I've asked for it to be moved)

It's a mythical 18w I believe.
Apple will only supply an 18w charger for the 11 series and the most powerful you can buy from Apple otherwise is 12w
A 10w charger will be 4 times faster than the standard charger anyways.

Looks like the only option currently.
I'm sure in time other options will be available though.

So let me get this straight.. you buy a charger and it comes with USB end and not a plug.. so then you have to buy plug that supports the same wattage as the charger..

I guess this is where knowing what each individual charger from every single Apple product supports / gives out..

The plug is the charger.
The stock lead should handle it OK.

Yeah but my point & what I’m annoyed about, and didn’t realise till now is...

You think you’re buying the charger, but then you have to buy the charger to power the thing you thought was the charger..

It’s a rip off.. although I did see a Mophie which came with a ‘charger’ but they ranged from £80-£120
