Why do O2 Lie

I have been an O2 customer for over 20 years, not only that I have my partner and children with O2 as well.

I would class this as a loyal customer, I have been due an upgrade so recently call about the new Iphone 13 Pro Max 1 TB.

I did stress I am looking lese where because O2 prices are not that competitive these days, however I was told I would get various discount and if I go ahead I would receive my new phone on Friday the 24th September.  I was a little dubious so I double checked with the agent and asked if they were sure.  I was told yes we have had some delays but we can pretty much guarantee this Friday.

I would like to point out this was before any petrol or delivery driver problems.

So Friday 24th comes around, shock, I get a text at 9:10am "Sorry its taking longer than normal"  - ok being a reasonable person I hold out, so I wait 4 or 5 days and follow the link to track my order, "this page can not be displayed"

Ok could be a tech issue, so I call the local O2 shop - only to be informed that they have been told there are no IPHONE 13 Pro Max 1TB going to be in stock at all in any O2 shop or online until at least November.

Now I am seriously considering terminating my contract along with the rest of my families contracts with O2 because as mentioned, I have been a loyal custom for over 20 years, and being an adult, I am a little long in the tooth to be lied to when there are so many other providers available.

If anyone take any notice of this post from O2 - take it from me DO NOT LIE, it makes you organisation look a joke and desperate - if you colleague had said to me when placing the order you probably will not receive this until November, I most like would have still go ahead.

NO ONE LIKE LIERS ESP LARGE MULI MILLION DOLLAR COMPANIES - us customer loose faith!

Shame O2, and anyone wanting to order this PHONE (I do believe its only the 1TB they are struggling with) think twice if you need it by the time the operator tells you

O2 aren't actually lying they are telling the truth ..

No one has the 1Tb version, even Apple are quoting the 29th to the 5th November, even though it was meant to be released at same time Apple have pushed it back due to shortage of NAND and processors..  So the agent was right when they spoke to you, but Apple are Apple and change things at the last minute...

Just to add

EE special order only 21 day delivery

Vodafone  3-4weeks delivery

Three 3rd November at the earliest

Virgin - same as above..

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK
