When I use Skype I cannot use the Video call function because my webcam is not recognised. The webcam was working up to two weeks ago.

 

Can anybody help? Thanks.

Is the webcam built in or on a USB connection?
I assume you are talking about your laptop or PC ?

The webcam is built in to an ACER PC.

Check that the drivers are up to date in devices manager.

 

You could also try restoring the PC back to an earlier time when you knew it was working.

Making sure Windows, antivirus etc is all up to date & a full security scan would be a good idea aswell to check for malware on the computer.
