Try to use Wifi wherever you are as the costs shown in the link above are pretty extortionate

Use Skype and Messenger to keep in touch with friends and family

Turn voicemail off is always a good tip as well wink

Best thing to do is download Whatsapp or Skype, make sure all the people you want to contact in the UK have one or the other, and use either app over WiFi. A local sim will only help if you want to make local calls, not calls back to the UK.

Edit: Also turn off mobile data completely in Settings.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

so iv bin mexico 7 times (love the place) going back in july 2020 for my 8th,when im over there i use my s10 (uk-o2) do all of the above and just wifi jump, (nightclub and very good show)coco bongos has wifi that in my opinion is much faster than the hotels wifi depends of course which hotel is in question, most hotels have wifi some better than others, i found if i used wifisweetspots connect to the hotels wifi then go for a walk whilst using the app you tend to find the best spots for the fastest wifi i use this method where ever i go and its never let me down slight_smile
