Anonymous
Not applicable

Now Tu Go is being discontinued, is it possible to use the WiFi calling overseas, specifically only through a dedicated WiFi connection, and not the locl provider

No it doesn’t work overseas unfortunately.

Nothing will ever replace TU and O2 wifi calling does not work overseas and doesn't even include texting here in the UK. O2 have really let their customers down.

The only WiFi calling that does work overseas is provided by Vodafone...though as that doesn't include texts it is in no way a replacement for TuGo sadly...Smiley Mad

Vodafone is an error apparently and it’s not supposed to work overseas.
Expect them the “fix” this in future firmware updates.

On the voda forums some were using it abroad with no problems and others having issues. Their admin team were assuring people it should work, (phone and area dependent) These were queries posted about 2 months ago. ...As you say they will probably close the 'loophole' soon enough. Sad really..:smileysad:

Now wouldn't you think they would keep it as it is as an added feature to attract new customers and to keep existing customers happy?
