Upgrade free on us

O2 advertise on some phones you can upgrade your phone after only 12 months of the 2 year contract. How does this work do they just give you a free new upgraded phone? Do you have to return your old phone or take out a second line agreement? Does anyone know?

Ive just upgraded to the iphone 6s with this deal, I was told after 12 months i can trade in my current phone for the newest iphone out if wanted. It is on o2 refresh

Yes they guarantee you can recycle the phone for the outstanding balance on the handset.

Yes not fully free but saves me £300 on my outstanding Balance so after 12 months I owe o2 £300 so it means I get out of my 24 month contract for FREE !
