Been receiving International calls(+881,+1,+221) that ring for a very short time I've had over 6 this morning. Not answering them and blocking the number. Is there any way of stopping the calls from those countries?

Hi @Dallas unfortunately there's no way to block specific numbers at network level. All you can do is block on handset.

Some help here too https://www.o2.co.uk/help/safety-and-security/unwanted-calls-and-messages

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Hi @Dallas

We have a thread showing what to do about these calls..

You are right to keep blocking them. Carry on with that. They will get fed up eventually.

Blocking the numbers is the first thing and you are doing that.

There are a number of Apps avaialble to help with spam calling with Truecaller being one of the most popular.

Moving forward the best way to avoid these types of calls is not to give your number out to anyone outside of your circle of family, freinds and business contacs. That way third parties can't sell your number to spammers.

@Dallas As a last resort, if constantly blocking numbers becomes overwhelming, O2 will change your number once free of charge. Hopefully you won't have to do that.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

If all fails, you can change your number for free once every 12 months.

Unfortunately your number has already been shared with O2's trusted partners and if only one has sold on your number then the damage has been done. You should check now your preferences in My O2 and you will no doubt find that the box is ticked to share your data. This is the default setting so you should untick the box straight away. The trouble is that the world and it's son now has your number.
