I am travelling to Italy in a few days and wondered which is the best option for data usage abroad?

If you want fast data you need a local sim card, but if all you need is to check emails and basic web browsing, O2 travel at £1.99 a day is a cheap option.

Hi @Anonymous
O2 Travel rates are shown here http://www.o2.co.uk/help/pay-monthly/using-your-phone-abroad
If you use O2 travel you will be charged £1.99 a day for data texts and calls

If you don't want to use O2 travel then make sure mobile data is turned off at all times and just use wifi for connecting to data....
Edited to add...This next link shows you standard travel costs (without O2 Travel)
