Stopping unwanted o2 texts

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have tried using 2220 to stop texts, it is so garbled that I can make no sense of it. I have just had a live chat with a GURU called Benji who wanted so much information that I had to say it would be easier to move to another supplier. He did not seem particularly concerned and terminated the chat.

Is there anyone out there who can point me in the right direction please

Hi Taff240

when speaking online it is essential that the advisor is as certain as they can be that they are talking to the account holder hence the checks. It is your personal data after all.

In relation to the texts, you can either reply with the word STOP although that may cost you money or go to your my o2 online and turn marketing texts off there or call o2 on 202 (contract) or 4445 (payg) and ask them to stop them.

Or if it is only the odd one then just delete them. You are not being charged for them so why waste time stressing out?

Be happy and stay safe.

Please let us know how you get on.

Call O2 and ask for the texts to be turned off.

They should be able to do it for you.

Don't use live chat.

General Marketing texts or from a specific application such as Priority etc?
