Hi my daughter dropped her iPhone XR in a little water .. the fone survived but the sim didn't ... it would not register.... we since got a replacement sim and the fone is not registering it either 🤯... any ideas?

You might need to contact customer services to register the sim.
If you have done that, then see other things to try below.
Have you tried the sim in another phone (that is working and on o2) and/or another sim in her phone (that is also working and on o2)?
This would give you a clue as to what is causing the problem.

@Lori It's very possible that the phone did not survive although you think it did.

Try the sim in another phone.

Water damage may have rendered the phone useless even though it turns on.
