If you are on a monthly consumer contract you can try Tugo http://www.o2.co.uk/apps/tu-go

If your on a business tariff you can use a boost box.

Or if not use options such as what's app and viber off home wifi along with Tugo MI5 suggested.

The other recipients need this downloaded too however apart from Tugo
