Hello
I’ve just got my son an iPad with the plan of linking it to his mobile and sharing the data because he gets 60gb a month. I’ve gone into the setup which is saying I can only share with my own data or my other sons who doesn’t get as much data on his plan.
I told the assistant in the shop that this was the plan and they never mentioned that it wouldn’t work.
Is there away round this?
I currently have 5 contracts registered

The iPad needs to be on a sharer tariff.
You have been mislead by the shop. Go back to them to correct their error.

The iPad is on the sharer plan it his phone contract that’s not. I suppose my question should have been how can I change his phone contract to share the data without incurring more charges

The phone needs to be on a refresh plan with at least 1gb of data and it will be able to share from.
