I was looking at the Zagg website earlier for a screen template for my handset. On there I noticed they have started to selling tempered glass to go with handsets.

Does anybody here use anything like this on their phone?

That sounds a little confusing. Glass on glass? How would that work? I've just looked on the Zagg site and I don't see what you've mentioned.

I was thinking that, although can you really put a price on protecting a £300-600 product when telephone insurance is pretty much next to useless.

I agree, but does the screen protector come with a guarantee?

I've got a zagg matte protector on one of my phones - It's very good.

I used a Zagg on an old phone. I find it difficult to put screen protectors on, so I am now using a liquid protector. The glass one intrigues me, as I read a description of one saying that it self-installs with no air bubbles, but it seems they are only making them for specific phones right now.

Well the product (the screen/back) is protected by a guarantee of sorts although I'm not sure how long it actually is. I presume it's up up until you remove the product after the first application or some nonemclature we never read or understand fully.

These have been out for a while from other manufacturers.  I was looking at them a couple of months ago for my Note, but was put off by some reviews stating that they are very fragile when putting them on and that the small hairline cracks people notice straight away develop into bigger ones over time.  Seems like a big risk for the £20-30 notes asked for at the time.

I went to the other extreme - noname protectors from amazon, a pack of 5 for less than two quid. They may not be the greatest in the world, but should give it some extra protection from scratches and when it starts to look a bit manky just slap another one on.  I'm a bit **bleep** when it comes to putting on protectors, I always expect to throw away the first couple because it's not aligned perfectly/has a miniscule bubble nowhere near the screen etc.
