SMS/MMS over O2 WiFi calling

With the UK banks about to implement SMS/MMS texting to distribute verification codes for online purchases - what are O2 doing to enable SMS/MMS over O2 WiFi calling inline with other network providers (e.g. EE)?  

Or should we now consider switching to another network provider?

One of my pet hates on forums is no update. So I disabled wifi calling, and I still get SMS successfully.

This isn't proof that wifi SMS isn't in fact working on the iphone. But it is proof that the new iphone is better than my old Samsung Galaxy at getting O2 signal in my area.
