Do I have to enable roaming if I am going to NYC, New York, USA as I come from London, UK and I am on Pay As You Go.

I would suggest using a local sim card and wifi when and where possible.

Your phone should connect automatically for calls and texts but data roaming is required to be turned on if you wish to use data services.

It will be very costly to use your O2 PAYG in New York. You will be much better off getting a PAYG sim locally from T-Mobile or AT&T.

You'll need to check your phone will work abroad as well, some of the models don't work in the US. What phone do you have?

You can check in My O2 to see if you have O3 Travel. I know this is for Europe but if you have that then the phone will work in the USA as long as you have a tri-band phone.
