Requesting eSim has disconnected my service!

Requested an eSim through My O2 to find that my service was disconnected immediately.

Have been told that I would receive an eSim pack in the next 3 days. That’s 3 days with no service! I can see an option on My O2 to download my eSim, but I get asked to enter a code that has been texted to me - on my disconnected number.

What a shambles. I work in software engineering and an issue of this sort would cause people to lose their jobs. This is completely unacceptable on O2’s part, they’ve known this issue exists yet the continue to allow paying customers to fall into this trap!

I’ll be switching to another network as soon as I can. Disgraceful.

In My EE esim download option gives instant QR code and as I’m logged in to my EE means I’m authentic.

If you don’t want that they share on registered email address too.

But in O2 when you do you need OTP and in most cases your sim is stopped working so you can’t receive sms.

They should provide OTP on registered email address if user has enabled this advance option as not everyone want it.
