Replacement Bolt On for International Favourites

Anonymous
Not applicable

Has anyone tried the replacement bolt on for the defunct International Favourites? I'm reluctant to try calling abroad because of the comments I'm getting about the tariffs being charged. O2 is advertising very low rates for North American calls but I'm hearing from others that original rates are being applied.

Original rates will appear at first but the account will be updated to new rates after a few days.
It’s not currently automated whilst in trial so has to be done manually.
It will update before your next bill is due.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

.... in the meantime you have the stress of worrying whether it actually will be adjusted before your bill, especially if you make calls just before your billing date and an unexpected large amount is taken by direct debit. You then wait to be credited the next month or 10 days for a refund..

The FAQ's do say within 24 hours, so probably a good idea not to use it the day before your bill is generated to avoid that scenario.

Why am I still being charged the international standard rates?

There may be a short delay from when you make your international call to when you see the trial rates on your bill. This means you may see standard rates on your unbilled charges, but don’t worry, these will be re-calculated within 24 hours.

Hi there, there is no replacement bolt on that gives 3000 international mins no more its just 1p per min now to call internationally, if you work it out 3000 mins like you used to get will now cost at 1p per min 30.00, so because of this i moved to lebara who offers unlimited international mins for 10.00 a month & they are really good network & signal is better too no drop outs like you get with o2, & they offer loads of other good things too, so if you want to save a lot of money lebara is the one, sending international text is cheeper to & so is sending video & pictures slight_smile
