Is it possible to switch back to a 2G simcard and keep my number etc. 

 

I want to use an old fashion (pre 96) mobile.

The 3g sim you have will work on a 2g only phone so no need to change it.

A 2G sim won't give 3G in today's smartphones, however a 3G sim will work in any older phone.
