Porting number - coming back to 02

I am returning to 02 from 3 to take advantage of the VOLT benefits, and want to ensure the port goes smoothly as possible.

I have a new SIM coming and I gave my PAC code when i ordered my airtime SIM only contract, am I right that once received I pop it in and then text SWAP to 20220 then the porting magic works after that?

No.

Unless you have received a transfer date, the request has not been accepted.

You need to call O2 when you get your O2 sim and give them the PAC manually.

This will then start the process.

On the day of transfer, your 3 sim will disconnect and you then need to insert your O2 sim.

Keep rebooting the phone until it comes online which may take up to 24 hours, but usually much less.

SIM received and in phone, call O2 and they said that as I put my PAC o the form when I took out the airtime contract it would automatically happen and I don't need to do anything apart from wait.
