Five days now since O2 should have ported my old Virgin number. I’m still on a temporary O2 number. No timescale as to when it will happen, no support from O2. What is happening?

There was a problem with the third party who deals with number porting. It's fixed now but they are working through the backlog.

There were major problems with the company used for porting. That problem is now fixed, but there is a backlog which is being dealt with.
