Phone out of stock

I have just upgraded my phone to an iPhone 12 Pro Max however the phone is out of stock. Just wondering when I will be getting the phone, and because the phone is 5G I need a 5G sim but can I keep this current number or will I have to change numbers?

You will be sent a 5g sim with your phone.

You need to do a sim swap to activate the new sim and keep your number Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update
