My mother and father are in their late 80’s. My dad pays for both of their mobile numbers under a single account.
I have bought my mum a smart phone and wish to move her number to the tarrif the phone is on (not O2). I thought this would be simple but is anything but.
The requesting of PAC isn’t available via the usual txt message as the number is under the shared account. My dad wants nothing to do with it and won’t help. My mum even got a txt message about changing her tariff but if she calls O2 they just request to speak to my dad.
Seems a ridiculous situation where someone with an O2 number doesn’t have the ability to decide to leave for themselves.
i wish my dad would be reasonable but it’s not going to happen. Dealing with such things is stressful for him and he doesn’t want to get involved. What can I do?
