Opt out for Priority and 02More texts

Any one else having real difficulty getting their opt out acted on?

Since early October, I've been calling the Priority opt out number, only to be told I'm already opted out. I've used live chat twice since then, been told "sorry about that but it's all sorted now"each time, but the messages still come daily.

02 More, I texted Stop earlier this month but still they come. I was told this takes 28 days (why?) So I'll give them the benefit, but for Priority there's no excuse at this point. I wouldn't mind if it were emails, but text messages alert me, and I don't want to be alerted to marketing.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't use the MyO2 method in the first instance to opt out, but I've just checked and everything is already set to "No". Either it was already or the Live Chat support corrected it for me. Either way, I'm still receiving Priority offer texts after almost 2 months.

It's stupid that you are still getting these texts after texting stop to O2. I've just looked at a couple of numbers who text me over the past week with Black Friday offers. I just went into their website and unsubscribed. I wonder if you can just allocate them to Spam on your phone?. I have that option on my Note 4...

I opted out of everything. I still get them and I haven't chased it up, just like you they are now treated as spam. I was sick of Priority and More texts.

I've not had a priority text since Friday 24th and not had a More text since Thursday 23rd. I don't know if that means my opt outs have finally gone through, or if they just stopped for the weekend.

I spoke too soon. Just received another Priority message. I really wish O2 had a proper written complaints procedure. I've reported this spamming to the ICO as I'm TPS, and hope others whose opt out is ignored do the same.
