O2 wifi & OUTLOOK EXPRESS EMAIL on pop3/smtp servers

Anonymous
Not applicable

Technical questions regarding WIFI and OUTLOOK EXPRESS emails.

Using O2 WIFI, OUTLOOK EXPRESS is prevented from SENDING EMAILs, using normal settings.  I have tried various other smtp servers/settings including, none of those worked.

Q1).  What is the correct SMTP SETTINGS for SENDING OUTLOOK EXPRESS EMAIL over O2 WIFI with an O2 EMAIL ADDRESS?

My O2 EMAIL(edited personal info)

Pop3:  mail.o2.co.uk  25 unticked

Smtp:  smtp.o2.co.uk  995 ticked or 110 unticked

The above settings will RECEIVE, but doesn't SEND.

Q2).  What is the correct SMTP SETTINGS for SENDING OUTLOOK EXPRESS EMAIL over O2 WIFI without an O2 EMAIL ADDRESS?

MY other EMAIL ISP is KAROO and using their normal settings I can RECEIVE email using O2 WIFI, however emails can NOT be sent, I have tried substituting the KAROO SMTP with various O2 SMTP servers such as smtp.o2.co.uk or smtp.o2.ie but none of these worked, as detailed here http://www.o2help.co.uk/smtp-server-settings/

My KAROO isp EMAIL(edited personal info)

Pop3:  (edited personal info) 110 unticked

smtp: smtp.karoo.co.uk 25 unticked.

Or alternative smtp: smtp-mbb.three.co.uk 25 unticked.

Or alternative smtp: smtp.orange.net 25 unticked.

smtp o2 substitute servers tried:

smtp.o2.co.uk  995 ticked or 110 unticked

smtp.o2.ie  995 ticked or 110 unticked

The above settings will RECEIVE, but doesn't SEND.

I realise a working alternative to this is sending email using HOTMAIL, however it is more efficient to prepare emails offline, and then SEND & RECEIVE later when it's convenient.

I also realise HOTMAIL can be used in OUTLOOK EXPRESS, however you need to subscribe to the premium features of HOTMAIL to use the pop3/smtp servers.

Let me know if you having a working solution to this sending email conundrum over wifi, I'd appreciate knowing what to change.

I've asked for your personal details to be removed, not a good idea unless you're fond of spam.

Your question would be easier to read without all the heavy highlighting.

According to these instructions port 25 is blocked on dynamic/roaming IP addresses http://www.o2help.co.uk/smtp-server-settings/

Having an O2 email account is rather necessary if you want to use their mail servers.

We had all that information if you had asked.

Q1 in your first post also suggests you already have an O2 email address Smiley Frustrated
