I've just upgraded to the samsung s9+ so I traded my s8+ in. They offered £300 then today contacted me to say they'd only offer £60 as the screen has LCD damage. The phone was immaculate. I only got it in august 2017. If that's the case surely I can return the phone to o2 to be fixed under warranty?

It’s a common scam from o2 recycle to do this kind of thing.
Ask for it to be returned to you and trade it in to CEX instead.

I wish someone would take a close look at this appalling practice by O2 Recycle. They are constantly getting away with this.

I've lost count of the number of times I've seen similar threads like this one. I wonder how many people who don't come to this forum buy into what O2 Recycle tells them, and wind up getting so much less when they send in their phones? It's an unscrupulous practice.

Worth noting, oled burn in is classed as screen damage and if even slightly there, they'll jump at chance to rip you off.
Also worth noting, Samsung warranty covers burn in.

It’s the same with both O2 Recycle & O2 repairs(Anovo) are all Con artists & fail the consumer

I'm in the o2 shop now to send it back. Staff are saying oooh we don't know if it's covered and don't seem to have a clue. I've checked the screen once I got it back and can't see a thing. I do think they are trying it on.
