Hi sorry if this isn't in the right board. I've just upgraded to the p20 pro. I've signed up for the open discount which has been accepted. I'd spoken to girl in the O2 shop prior to upgrading, who assured me I'd still be eligible for the discount if I upgraded. the live chat person has also told me I'm eligible. However when I go into add the discount it says my phone isn't eligible? I've searched and can see no excluded list and wasn't made aware of this before I changed and had my old 30% discount removed. Can anyone shed any light on this? Many thanks Alan.

We have been told today that the P20 pro is excluded unfortunately.
We have also been told the website has been updated to reflect this.

How does this affect me when I preordered the device over a week ago and was assured it was included?

Not applicable

Guess it means you can’t have the discount as the device is ineligible as the linked thread states

I believe the expression is "hung out to dry"!
You could try a complaint but it's unlikely to yield and results http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

Am I right in saying I have 14 days to cancel? Carphone were offering a better deal but can't get O2 open through them. Similarly with other networks. However if i do that now, the headphone offer goes out the window too. So much for being a loyal O2 customer all my life.

Yes you can cancel, but as you rightly say, lose your freebies and refresh https://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/our-change-of-mind-policy

The main issue I find is the Infomation on the o2 Open website. It doesn’t tell you which phones are excluded.  Clicking on the exclusion list does nothing and takes you back to the front page as such.

pointless it being there if you don’t get any answers.

as follows

Click the the link and all it does is take you back to the o2 open page.

like so

Where does it say on the site which phones are in or out.  If you click on the link and nothing shows, then you assume all phones are in?

@Marjo Can you have a look and feed this back as it never ever gets update the site with what’s in or out and there are so many people come on here with the same issue over and over again 😒

thanks
