O2 Wireless Box II - Cannot change anything in my router settings

I'm trying to set up a static IP adress for my PS4 as well as forward some ports to it. However when I'm I change anything within my router settings my entire internet connection cuts out for approximately 5 minutes on every device on my home network. When it returns I find that any information I have changed has reverted. 

Is anyone able to shine some light on this situation?

o2 no longer provide any support on these devices, as they no longer provide adsl service.

You can Google the unbadged version which is a Thomson Speedtouch TG585v7. This device is 6/7 years old

I however would get in touch with your ISP and request a new router.
