Hopefully they'll have it ready before too long, but you don't need it to use O2 Wi-Fi.

Yup, no need for the App to use O2 WiFi. What were you wanting the App for?

Since i got a new blackberry from work i can't access O2 wifi. I could on old phone but now i just get "Open your browser to connect to wifi" or something similar. It changed in the last week and i get some pulsating circles now as well but no wifi. I've tried deleting O2 wifi and restarting. When i go to page to add devices it says follow instructions but there aren't any and no app for blackberry to download. Any ideas?

Try adding the new phone to your O2 Wi-Fi account:

Sorry, i didn't spot this earlier.

What happens when you go into your Wifi settings? Is O2 Wifi there? What happens when you connect to it?

Have you tried clearing your history and cookies, etc from the BlackBerry browser?

Which BlackBerry are you using?

If they do bring out an O2 WiFi app for blackberry it'll probably be for Blackberry 10 phones only.

My Reply: I started getting that 'Open your browser to connect to WiFi' message in my browser when I tried to use the O2 WiFi hotspot I use from time to time when I switched tarrif from Text & Web with Blackberry Bolt On to Blackberry Text & Web & no amount of cleaning history, cookies, etc makes the slightest bit of difference.

Okay, what BlackBerry are you using and which operating system?

What happens if you open your browser after getting the "Open your browser to connect to wifi" message? What happens if you then try to open a website like Google?

Are you not redirected to the O2 Wifi login page?

You're probably correct about the o2 WiFi App, but its looking unlikely that even us BB10 users will get one. Although we can now install the Android app instead.

You don't need the O2 Wi-Fi app in order to use it, make sure you register your phone here:
