After closing the home Broadband service O2 are now to close the Wholesale side as well.

Right, customers in contract will be moved to a BT based wholesale (WBC) until such times as can be moved to another Wholesaler eg. TTBusiness W/sale, C&W W/sale.  So back on BT profile sytem for a while.  All has to be done by 27 Feb14.  Hope its not long, don't relish paying £18pm for BT although the backhaul goes thru Entanet.
