O2 Travel - using data overseas

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I am going away on Sunday and have the O2 travel activated on my account.

My question is that if I connect to the internet is the data truly unlimited? For £1.99 per day that seems like a really good deal and I don't want to get caught out and end up with a hefty bill if I use the internet quite a lot

thanks all

It is unlimited but speeds are throttled after you have used the first 100mb per day.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

You won't be charged any more than £1.99 a day as long as you are on a EU network, for data use.

If you are anywhere near bordering countries not covered by o2 travel, make sure you use manual network selection to prevent charges.

Switching off roaming is totally different to switching off mobile/cellular data. In any scenario you should have received a text stating you have reached the £40 threshold unless you have opted out. Call customer service to query the bill.

Maybe it was call and text charges?
Have you checked the breakdown in your MyO2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2 ?
