I was told previously on an O2 chat that O2 Travel is activated from midnight to midnight UK time where ever you are in the world.  I have since been told that it's midnight local time of the country you are in and this appears to be confirmed on the website.

"The O2 Travel daily charge will apply from midnight to midnight local time (based on the capital city of the country you're in)"

I'm going to New York so if this is correct O2 Travel should be from midnight to midnight, Washington DC time. Has anyone used O2 Travel in New York and can you confirm the times? I won't use it every day and don't want to be charged for a whole day for unintentionally using it beyond the wrong 'midnight'.

Yes, it’s local time.

I've used it in Thailand 🇹🇭 and definitely yes, Bangkok time when I used it..... and it was absolutely pants. A letter posted home would have got there before a website loaded with plenty of pictures!

Maybe it's improved, maybe I'll try again... Probably not 😉

Certainly seeking out local free WiFi is advisable because as indicated, data is restricted to 0.5mbps in O2 travel zones, so whilst just about acceptable for email, whatsapp, imessage etc, everything else that needs large amounts of data is pointless.
