O2 SURVEYS

Anonymous
Not applicable

MINGLE O2 SURVEY I took the trouble and time to respond to the O2 survey on the promise of inclusion in a prize draw. At the end of the survey I was told I was NOT eligible. This is sharp practice to say the least and I will be reporting this to Trading standards. I should also say I have no confidence in Mingle’s safeguarding of my data since I believe they lied to me. Any information, anyone?

Hi @Anonymous

A quick google search shows they are a legitimate site based in Germany

http://www.paidsurveysuk.com/blog/new-mingle-uk/

There are also a number of complaints similar to yours https://www.surveypolice.com/mingle

Edited to add you can contact them  via email if you feel you want to complain.  http://mingle.respondi.com/contact.php?SES=3750ffb00e296a8b677b6efab29a157e&frmnd=rules

According to their home page  they do claim to protect all data

Where did you get the invite for the survey and if it was connected to a prize draw the o2 t&c page will have the details (assuming it was a genuine o2 survey)

If you're unhappy, not only should you complain to the survey company, but to O2 too. http://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain

The op has not stated it was not an official o2 survey hence my question above.

O2 have used outside survey companies in the past to do there surveys  .

But my suspission this was a fake survey used for data harvesting imho

It may well be 'fake survey' @adamtemp64 but the company does exist and their home page does promise prizes for completing ....although I had no time to read all the terms and conditions on the website.

I know they have received many complaints for 'non payment'....

If the survey company is a 'trusted partner' of O2's,  and are conducting a survey about O2, and they are not delivering on promised prizes, then of course a complaint should be made to O2. Even if it's not an official survey, and possibly even a fake, O2 should be made aware that a company is fraudulently acting on their behalf. Just reporting it to customer service would probably get you nowhere. At least someone in the complaints department would read the complaint and be made aware of the situation.

Not disagreeing with either you or @Bambino at all. I think they are a pain from everything I read....though some people do actually get payouts. I am sure O2 allowed them to do the survey. Apparently they do these for a number of well known companies I am sure somewhere hidden.. there is a catch to the 'prizes'
