O2 Perks - VIP lounge access

Hi,

 

I'd like to visit the VIP lounge at the O2 Arena. I've visited the O2 Perks section of Prioriy moments and found this:

 

What? Kick back in the VIP O2 lounge, with two-for-one cocktails and a free cloakroom.

How? Text UPGRADE with the size of your party to 60202. Coming with three  friends? Text UPGRADE4. Subject to availability.

 

When do I send the text? I'm going to the Muse gig on Saturday. I've tried texting but (understandably) it means nothing as I haven't specified the event I'm attending. The response I got was '02: Please check the keyword and try again. We don't recognise the service you are trying to request'.

 

So what exactly do I need to do to access the lounge?

I can only imagine someone has to get permission to do it, then actually do it, send it to be checked, then pushed higher up for confirmation and then finally ends up at the it guys desk who's too stoned to do it:(

Or am I just stereotyping IT techs? Haha

To be honest, I'm not sure if anyone but the CEO has got the authority to do anything at O2. I've called Cust Serv and they can't help. I've tried mailing but haven't had a reply. I'm just glad there's a forum to rant. O2 are **bleep**e. This proves that. But so are their competition..

Agreed O2 is the higher class of ••• haha so I'm sticking with them for a while:)

Hi Leonard,

OK - today is the day of the gig. I've sent the text. And had the same response as I got as I got last week - 'O2: Please check the keyword and try again'. This perk may be good but it's UNOBTAINABLE. Why publish something that the general customer can NOT get. EVERYONE BEWARE - don't bother texting as it DOESN'T WORK.

Thanks Leonard. I'm not the only one having this issue. Check out twitter. It's not great publicity.

 

Thanks again though. You're the only person working for O2 that seems to give a hoot about this. I wonder if the others realise that this thread is found if you google 'o2 perks lounge'...
