I've just waited for some time, with the question...
"Hi, I've just bought a new phone - a Samsung Galaxy S9+ but it only takes a nanoSIM card (as well as a microSD card). I would like to keep my mobile phone number, but I will need the supply of a new nanoSIM card for the phone with the same mobile number please as my old phone has a standard SIM - I've been waiting for you to answer to "live chat" since 1009 am today, some 127+ minutes"
...but had to "end" the "chat", as no-one from O2 "live chat" was available, with recurring messages every minute (three different messages rotated around), and that lack of availability was sustained for more that 127 minutes (2 HOURS and 7 minutes) at which point I gave up!
More power to your "live chat" service, O2!!! ha ha - what a joke!

Hi @MichaelULS
It may be quicker for you to go instore, get the sim changed and they will transfer everything over for you?
Best of luck and welcome to the forum

Simply put.... forget the useless live chat unless you need to know the time and even then you need to convert it to UK GMT!
