Does anyone know what happens to O2 customers in Northern (Turkish) Cyprus? It does not seem to be part of the Europe Zone- is it considered to be part of Turkey? What are the charges for calls/texts/data?
(Hard to believe that, as the EU considers the whole of Cyprus to be part of the EU...)

Hi @Anonymous You need to be careful about connecting to a Turkish network....

You need to make sure you don't inadvertently connect to a Turkish network...

If connected to a Cypriot network you can use your UK allowances with no extra charges, but if connected to a Turkish network it's £3.99 a day for O2 travel or the following standard rates.
When in: Calling:
Making calls - per minute | £1.50 |
Receiving calls - per minute | £1.25 |
Sending texts - per message | 40p |
Cost per MB of using data:
Data usage | £6* |

It's your responsibility to connect to the correct network. Even if you are in Turkish Cyprus you are able to connect to a Greek Cyprus nework...........unfortunately it also works vice versa.
