Hi @Anonymous and welcome .
There are many factors that could be effecting your signal and it is very unusual to not get a signal anywhere at all due to a network issue.
If there is a complete loss of signal it is most likely sim card or phone related.
Trying your sim in another phone, if possible, can help to determin if the sim is faulty and if so any O2 shop will swap pit for you.
If you still find that your issues are network related, CS should be the first place to complain followed by escalation to the complaints team http://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain if you are still unhappy.

How long you've been having issues with the signal?
Can you check your sim card in a different phone to see if the sim or the phone is faulty?
Also, have you checked if there is a mast near you?

Check your masts via Input your Full Post Code here to check your local Masts -> http://status.o2.co.uk
{If a mast shows an issue a customer can now ask Customer Services to keep them updated on its Status via Text or eMail}
This shows where masts are http://sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk/search
If the masts show as good then perhaps download the MYNETWORK APP to report them ->
