hi

I have an issue with my mobile phone.

There is no or very little (one bar only in certain places of the house at certain times!) signal at my house.  Some of our phones (iphones) have an option to enable Wi-Fi calling although we have one, a Motorola, which does not have this option.

Is there any solution to this - a booster box to help the signal?

Getting rid of or changing the phone is not an option

Any help or advice, gratefully received

A

A boostbox is only available if you are on a business contract and since the removal of O2Ask and previously Tugo I can't think of anything you can try unfortunately.

I could buy one through a family members business account - maybe.......  will that then allow wifi calling?

Why will they only sell them to business customers and not individuals?

You’d have to call customer service to check.
It provides network coverage over a broadband connection though, not WiFi calling and any phones you want to connect to it have to be registered to the system so you can’t just log on like you can with a WiFi connection.

Hi
Unfortunately I have had no luck at all, went into a local shop who said there is nothing I can do as a private individual customer. Beyond frustrated as all I think I can do is to ignore this contract and move suppliers which is the last thing I want to do

@ap2014Have you tried ringing customer services to ask for a Boostbox? You may have to pay but that will probably be cheaper than buying out of your contract.

They offered boostboxes to personal customers when they got rid of Tu..so it's worth calling them

As I said above, you can only get a boost box if you switch to a business account.

I'm aware of what you said @MI5...however, as I said, they offered them when they got rid of Tu so it's worth a try. If the answer is still no... then at least the OP will have tried.

Yes they did but they switched all those customers to business accounts.
